Using this website
This site is provided for information. The content is written in good faith and reviewed regularly, but it is general guidance rather than advice about your specific situation. If you act on something here, check that it applies to you.
Content and ownership
The writing, design, code and diagrams on this site are ours. You are welcome to quote from it with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions as your own.
Where we reference a client project, we do so with that client's permission. Where a project is our own build, we say so on the page.
Client work
Every engagement is governed by a written scope agreed before work starts. The terms below are the principles that scope reflects; the agreement itself is the binding document.
- Project work is scoped and priced in writing before anything begins.
- Ongoing work is month to month. There is no minimum term.
- There is no cancellation fee and no buy-out clause.
- Ownership of deliverables transfers as work is delivered; not at the end of a term, and not conditional on continued payment for other services. See what you own.
- Accounts are created in the client's name; domain, hosting, analytics, tag manager, search console, ad account, CRM; with us added as a user.
- Third-party costs are paid by the client directly. We do not mark them up or resell them.
What we do not guarantee
We do not guarantee search rankings, positions in AI-generated answers, traffic volumes, or a specific number of leads. Nobody controls those, and any agency promising them is either describing something trivial or overstating what they can do.
What we do commit to is the work itself: what gets built, how it is tested, what gets measured, and honest reporting on the result; including when the result is not what we hoped.
Third-party services
Projects typically involve services we do not control; Google, hosting providers, CRM platforms, call tracking providers. Their availability, pricing and policies are theirs. We will tell you which ones a project depends on before you commit.
Links to other sites
We link to external sources where they support a factual claim. We are not responsible for the content of those sites and a link is not an endorsement of everything on them.
