Your work is better than your website makes it look.

Most contractor websites are built by someone who has never watched a homeowner try to request an estimate on a phone, standing in their kitchen, deciding between you and two other bids.

Novarius builds websites, search visibility and call tracking as one system for US home service businesses. Everything is built in your accounts, under your name.

Why contractor websites stop at the estimate request

  • Everything is on one page

Kitchens, bathrooms, drywall, painting, decks and new construction share three paragraphs and one gallery. Nothing ranks for any of them, and a homeowner searching for one specific job cannot confirm you do it.

  • The work isn't on the site

This is the one that costs most. Contractors have hundreds of photos of finished work; on a phone, or on Facebook. The website has four stock images. In a trade where the buying decision is "can these people do good work," the proof is the product, and it is usually missing.

  • The estimate form is a wall

Twelve fields, a required budget dropdown, an address before anyone has spoken. Someone comparing three contractors will fill in the shortest form first.

  • Licensing and insurance aren't used

Licensed, bonded and insured is a real differentiator against unlicensed competition; and it is usually buried in the footer instead of sitting next to the estimate request where the hesitation happens.

  • Nobody knows what's producing calls

Money goes to ads, a directory, a lead service. Calls come in. Nothing connects them, so the decision to keep or cut a channel is made on a feeling.

What a contractor site from us includes

  • A page per service you actually want to sell; so each can rank, and each can be advertised to
  • Your real projects, prominently, on desktop and mobile
  • A short estimate form, plus tap-to-call fixed on mobile
  • Licensing, bonding and insurance placed where the hesitation is; beside the form, not in the footer
  • Service area stated clearly, so out-of-area enquiries filter themselves out
  • Call tracking, so you know which calls came from which source
  • Speed; most of your visitors are on a phone, often on mobile data

Where this actually gets decided

Homeowners research contractors on a phone, often in the room they want changed, frequently in the evening.

That means a tappable phone number that never leaves the screen, an estimate form that works with a keyboard covering half the display, photos that load on mobile data, and text you can read without zooming.

Most contractor sites fail at least two of those. It is the cheapest thing to fix and usually the highest-return.

A page per service is what makes local search work. "Bathroom remodeling in your city" is a different search from "general contractor near me," and one page cannot win both. That structure also makes Google Ads viable. Realistic timeline: local search movement usually takes three to six months.

You own it.

Domain, site, code, analytics, ad account. In your name. Worth knowing in this industry specifically; leased sites and long contracts are common in contractor marketing, and the cost of leaving is often only discovered when someone tries to.

Questions

Why isn't my contractor website getting calls?

Usually one of four things: every service shares one page so nothing ranks, your finished work is not on the site, the estimate form asks for too much, or the phone number is not tappable on mobile. An assessment tells you which applies to yours.

How many service pages do I need?

One for each service you genuinely want more of. If you would rather not do bathroom remodels, do not build a page for them; the site should bring in the work you want, not all work equally.

Do I need photos of my own work?

Yes, and they matter more than the design. Phone photos of real finished jobs beat professional stock every time. We will tell you which ones to take.

What if my brand is just a logo my nephew made?

That is fine and it is common. A clear, fast, well-organised site with real photos outperforms a beautifully branded one that hides the estimate button. Branding can come later.

How long before I see more calls?

If the problem is conversion; form, phone, structure; the change can show within weeks of launch, because the traffic already exists. If the problem is that nobody is finding you, that is search work and it is three to six months. Most contractors have some of both.

Do you work with contractors outside Florida?

Yes. We are remote-first and work with businesses across the US.
