Service 01 / Websites
Websites built to bring in work.
A website's job is to turn someone who found you into someone who calls you. Most local business sites are built to describe the company instead. We build the first kind.

The friction
Why most local business sites do not produce work
Everything lives on one page
Six services share three paragraphs. Nothing ranks for anything, and a visitor looking for one specific job cannot tell whether you do it.
Contacting you takes effort
A phone number that is plain text instead of a link. A form with twelve fields. Every extra step costs you enquiries.
It is slow on a phone
Most of your visitors are on mobile data. Load time is the first filter, before anyone reads a word.
Nothing is measured
Leads arrive and nobody can say what produced them, so marketing decisions get made on instinct.
The scope
What you get
Defined before work starts. Documented when we hand it over.
- 01A page for each service you want more of; the structure that makes search and ads work
- 02Your real work, shown properly, on desktop and mobile
- 03A short lead form and tap-to-call fixed on mobile
- 04Built for speed on a static architecture, measured before launch
- 05Accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, which also means it works better for everyone
- 06Conversion tracking configured and verified before launch
- 07Structured data so search engines and AI answer engines can read what you do
- 08Everything in your accounts, in your name
How we think about it
Why we build these static
Most local business websites run on WordPress with a page builder and a stack of plugins. Every visit means the server assembles the page from a database, then the browser downloads several hundred kilobytes of JavaScript to make it work.
We build static instead: pages are generated ahead of time, so there is nothing to assemble when someone arrives. The browser gets finished HTML.
That is a business decision, not a preference. People leave slow sites, and most of your visitors are on a phone on mobile data. Google factors page experience into Google Ads Quality Score, so a faster landing page lowers your cost per click. And there are no plugins to update or patch.
Where WordPress is the better answer: if you need to publish complex content daily with several non-technical editors, or you depend on a specific plugin ecosystem, WordPress is genuinely the better tool. We will tell you if that is your situation.

Questions
How much does a website cost?
It depends mainly on how many service pages you need and whether you are providing content and photos. We publish what drives the number on our pricing page; we would rather you knew before you talked to us.
How long does it take?
Most projects run four to eight weeks. The pace is usually set by how quickly content and photos come back, not by the build.
Can I update it myself?
Content, yes; we set that up and show you. Structural changes usually need a developer, which can be us or anyone else, since the code is yours.
Do I need to write the content?
No, but we need the raw material: what you do, which jobs you want more of, and your real photos. We write from that. Nobody knows the work better than you do.
What if I do not have good photos?
Phone photos of real finished jobs beat stock photography every time. We will tell you exactly which shots to take.
Do you do branding and logos?
Not as a service. If you have a logo we will build around it. If you do not, a clear fast site with real photos will outperform a beautifully branded one that hides the contact button.
